The Republicans Are Up to Their Eyeballs in Bullshit Again
Just when you thought they couldn’t get any more delusional…
The Republicans are up to their eyeballs in bullshit again. They’re claiming that Nancy Pelosi is the one to blame for the January 6th Capitol Insurrection that left five people dead and countless Capitol Police officers injured. It’s been going on for weeks. During the lead-up to the House Committee hearing where four Capitol Police officers testified about the events of that infamous day, Republicans were quietly strategizing on a new plan to deflect blame from themselves to the Democrats.
The result?
They came up with an insane plan that they’d blame the whole thing on Nancy Pelosi. I guess when the “it was Antifa!” explanation fell flat, they changed course. Then “it was the FBI!” And when the American people didn't buy that either, they had to devise an even crazier strategy to try to explain the insurrectionist behavior of their worst constituents.
In a stunning case of deflection, Republican House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said, “On Jan. 6 these brave officers were put into a vulnerable and impossible position because the leadership at the top failed.”
