I think if we were to put it logically, it would go something like this:
Women who have better relationships are more satisfied with their sex lives, provided their partners are giving them ample sex.
It reminds me of one of my favorite things to say whenever someone says, "Money won't make you happy," which is, "Yes, money won't make you happy, but poverty will probably make you miserable."
In this case, poverty and a lack of sex are negatives, rather than positives, negatives that take away from the well-being of the whole.
The logical sequence demands that one condition be met, and the other not be met.
Sometimes it's not about having two things, but rather, having one thing and the absence of another.
