Oh, this is absolutely true. We definitely take our ideas from porn, but this can go both ways. A lot of people I know have learned a lot of good things from porn, too. When I was a kid in the 1990s, people were already choking each other out, until they'd pass out, for the head rush they'd get. Yeah, it was weird times. That, computer duster inhalers, glue-sniffing, and gasoline huffing were all things.

BDSM, rough sex, and even violent sex has been around since long before porn. The Marquis de Sade was far more vile than anything today's porn could come up with, and he was just describing the surrounding society. Everyone lived like that, even priests.

The problem isn't porn. The problem is coercion, which, coincidentally, is my next topic.
