Hey, thanks for reading. I'm sorry to break it to you, but naturally immunity is not better than vaccine immunity. Not by a long shot (seen here: https://www.immunology.org/coronavirus/connect-coronavirus-public-engagement-resources/covid-immunity-natural-infection-vaccine).

If it was, we wouldn't be seeing cases like Bill Phillips, a body builder and fitness trainer who got the SARS-CoV-2 virus twice.

Bill Phillips is a fitness coach who contracted COVID-19 two times on separate occasions. After the first time, he didn't go to the hospital. He later tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies. He opted not to get vaccinated because he thought he was safe with the antibodies.

Then some time went by, and he caught it again. He got really sick the second time and ended up going to the E.R.

He ended up losing 70 lbs. Here are the before and after photos of Bill. He used to be able to bench press 300 lbs. with ease.

Now he can barely stand up without help. He's in a wheelchair. He and his wife Maria are just happy he's alive. And yes, they're vaccinated now.

Death isn't the only threat of COVID. It'll take everything you love away from you if you aren't careful.

Next up, for vaccine resistant versions of the virus in response to more people getting vaccinated. This is true. But it's also something I covered, explaining in detail that it's the speed which we reach herd immunity that counts. The speed from 20%-50% vaccinated isn't as important as the speed we go from 50% to 85%, when we suspect herd immunity to be reached. And we're slowing down now because of anti-vaccine sentiment and vaccine hesitancy. We're doing the opposite of what we should be.

The alternative is that we halt vaccination progress altogether. And then the virus just morphs into worse and worse Delta strains that are more spreadable and deadly, because that's what the environment calls for. There's no just hoping it goes away. We must take responsibility here. I covered this specifically in the piece, but you must've missed it.

Thanks for reading, again. And the conversation. Sincerely, I appreciate it.
