Florida Man Who Pledged Allegiance to ISIS Pleads Guilty to Facilitating Bomb Making for the Organization
The United States’ War on Terror Continues
You may remember back in October of 2019, as we were all getting ready for Halloween, President Trump took the stage late at night and delivered a message to the nation. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the man who’d led the Islamic State, otherwise known as ISIS, had been killed. American forces descended upon his location and killed the leader of the terrorist organization in a raid in Syria.
At the time, President Trump said that Mr. al-Baghdadi had, “Died like a dog,” and, “Died like a coward.”
It was arguably the most significant American victory in the war on violent terrorism since Osama Bin Laden was killed by the United States Navy Seal Team 6 under the orders of President Barack Obama in May of 2011.
And even today, the United States’ war on terror continues. And it continues even on our home soil.
Stepping back to nearly a year before al-Baghdadi was killed by the raid under President Trump, a Florida man was making friendly associations with the terrorist organization in chatrooms and on social media platforms online.
